"Darth Punk" Awakens in This Star Wars / TRON Mashup

The force is strong with this one.

Darth Vader and Boba Fett running around the streets of Earth decked out in LEDs, chrome, and dressed like Human After All era Daft Punk sounds like a beautiful highdea, but it's actually real, thanks to indie film studio Infectious Designer. Sweet, sweet CGI neon pulses around the dastardly duo throughout sci-fi/dance music video hybrid Darth Punk - The Funk Awakens as they hunt a young (also leather-clad) woman through bumping clubs and gritty underpasses, and erupt into a dance battle for good and evil.

"One day Vader and Fett will recruit for the the dark side, disguised as an electronic music duo," reads the video's description. "They will be arresting ears and administering intergalactic rhythm and beats. The Rebels won't stand a chance. This is their music video, featuring 'Dj Gonk.'"

Fan videos can be terrible—and they can also be amazing (especially when it comes to Star Wars). Infectious Designer head Brian Curtin has certainly pulled off the latter with the help of his team of "painfully cool geeks," the pristine chrome work of [All Chrome Everything](http:// http://www.allchromeeverything.com/), and entrancing lights from Onzium and Super Bright LEDs. With experience giving video games like WatchDogs, KillZone, and Half-Life an IRL facelift, Curtin and his team are veteran purveyors of nerd-nip, but Darth Punk—riding the hype wave of the Episode VII premiere—might take the Jedi-approved cake.
