Sword Slinging in Life-Sized Virtual Reality Looks Amazing

Stuff like this is why people are so obsessed with VR.

Let's be honest: we all want to be this cape-wearing hero, slashing monsters with giant, invisible swords at the ends of her HTC Vive controllers. Our villains take the form of angry landlords, bills, social anxiety, and guilt, but deep in a VR demo of fantasy fighting game Circle of Saviors, she sees only problems that can be solved with a quick dodge and a firm horizontal slash. VR Scout captured her ruthless crusade against VR beasties at the Tokyo Game Show earlier this month, and have just uploaded the life-affirming footage to YouTube. We could wax elequent about the impact a game like this has for the viability of room-scale VR—but we'll cut ourselves off there, and let you simply enjoy the show:
