The Greasy Glamor of Junkfood and Nail Art

It's National Junkfood Day, and that means it's time to cram as many chalupas, sliders, and chicken nuggets down that chomper as possible. If your mood doesn't suit the occasion, look no further than VICE contributer and photographer Amy Lombard's mouthwatering collaboration with nail artist Natalie Pavloski titled, Nails.

"A few years ago I fulfilled a photo dream of mine to document Valentine's Day at White Castle," Lombard recalls to The Creators Project. "One of my favorite images from the series was a girl with questionable nail art holding a slider. The image has always stuck with me and been a favorite. While walking by the White Castle in Williamsburg one day (RIP), this idea of creating a more elegant version of this photo I had taken popped into my head. I emailed Natalie immediately and we began planning the shoot. The outcome was everything I wanted and more."

The Nails shoot also marked Lombard's very first time eating Taco Bell ("It was a historic moment in my life, as you could imagine," she says). Rejoice.
