When it comes to technology and creativity, one of the big ways technology can change how we perceive the arts is its impact on storytelling. How can breakthroughs in software and hardware assist an artist in how they want to tell and relate a story? We went to the Sundance Institute New Frontier Story Lab in the Utah mountains, where founding director Michelle Sadder discusses the program, which selects promising artists and invites them to explore their creativity in an environment designed to nurture just that.

Eli Horowitz walks us through the concept behind The Silent History, a novel that tailors the story to match actual places and landmarks. Flight of the Conchords' Bret McKenzie introduces us to Yung Jake, a musician who blurs the line between high and low culture through inventive use of social media. And Michael Simmons of The Goggles, the folks behind Adbusters, provides some insight on their interactive web film Welcome To Pine Point, documenting the quaint happenings of a town that no longer exists.
