Don't Tell Mom, the Personal Tattoo Machine Has Arrived

Jakub Pollág has designed the ultimate party favor.

There are plenty of new ways to get tattooed. At The Creators Project, we like it when it involves projection mapping, but don't blame us; everything's better with projection mapping. It's clear, however, that it's difficult to walk around with a video projector all the time, and that it loses a bit of the essence of what makes a tattoo when they're just images on your skin. Thus, ask and ye shall receive: the personal tattoo machine by Jakub Pollág.

A former student of the Royal College of Art—now a member of the Studio Deform—Pollág this year presented his "people's tattoo machine" this year during Czech Design Week. For the young designer, tattoos aren't meant to be beautiful, but simply a way to preserve important memories forever.

The project goal was to make a machine that was financially accessible, easy to use, and above all, safe. While there isn't yet information on how to get your hands on one, we'll keep you in the loop. Meanwhile, check out the result below in images and in Designboom's new video:
