For those of you Yahoo! users out there who still haven't heard the word, Google updated logos earlier this week with a sleek, modern font, and a fun set of looping symbols (to represent whatever fun, Google-y activities you're up to at the moment), apparently to make their brand more mobile/smartwatch friendly. In a blog post they wrote that the update, "shows you when the Google magic is working for you, even on the tiniest screens."Reactions have been mixed—opinions from writers at our sister site, Motherboard, ranged from "i hate it and i think everyone will hate it…it looks like playskool," to "I like it and everyone will forget that there was ever a different logo in like ten seconds."Our Insta of the Week goes to artist and OKFocus founder Ryder Ripps, who recently exhibited six people using the internet in a giant tank, for putting the whole rigamarole into context by explaining the long history of Google's logo design, with people.
