On the blog this week we found out that 3D printed airplanes could be with us by 2050 and we delivered parts three and four of our video series surrounding SHUT UP AND PLAY THE HITS. On LAYERS we discovered the many facets of Serengeti’s “Kenny Dennis,” we spoke to Moment Factory about the visuals for Madonna’s MDNA tour, we debuted Hot Chip’s new music video directed by Danny Perez, spoke to video art pioneer Bill Lundberg, and we welcomed multifaceted São Paulo producer Daniel Ganjaman into the Creators fold.

And on the webz…

· Evolutionary gameology: The evolution of PC games gets a nice video montage, from the very old school text-based adventures to today’s manic shoot ’em ups.

· London traffic becomes a blueprint for digital music.

· Beautifully shot new video by Ramin Bahrani for Sigur Rós’s “Ég anda”. And, while we’re on music videos, check out this one starring Adam Buxton on an exploding beach (above).

· Play a hacker in 3D realtime strategy indie video game Hackwork.
