Here's the Scoop on Japan's New Toilet Museum

The toilet, in all of its modern interpretations—from porcelain fixture to highly engineered—now get’s its own design museum in Japan. Just in time for its 100th year anniversary, Toilet manufacturer TOTO created the museum to feature more than 950 of the most successful and historical sanitary inventions.

It should be noted that this is not the same Japanese museum that allows kids to don poop-hats and slide into a giant toilet bowl.

The brand’s original flash bowl was created in 1917 and has since evolved into a brand famous (or infamous) for their tech forward flushers with seat heaters, rinsing methods, and timed sensors. The museum highlights the historical landmarks that changed Japanese bathroom culture, including the move from rural to city living. TOTO, which started as a ceramics manufacturer, hopes that the museum will attract two million visitors a year. Check it out in the images below:

If this happens to be your kind of thing (and we're not judging you, if it is), there's a similar toilet museum in New Delhi, the Sulabh International Museum of Toilets.
