Every Saturday, The Creators Project premieres a new issue from net art platform and artist collective, FELT Zine.

The slippery celestial humanoids in the 28th issue of FELT Zine look like extras from The Cell, the sci-fi horror film where Jennifer Lopez enters the mind a deranged serial killer. This short series of psychedelic prints is the brainchild of Nicholas Keays, a 3D net artist and designer living in Melbourne. Through a combination of design and 3D animation, Keays drops his lustrous female figures into various dreamlike settings, creating almost frightening portraits and visual patterns.

The artist says the work is a reflection of the impact modern society has had on our psyche. As Keays tells Creators, "With reality shifting into a higher plane of consciousness we begin to detect and make out the dark energies hiding in the shadows, as we dream these energies go to war with our souls filling our lives with new levels of anxiety, stress and depression." Since the advent of the internet, it's never been easier to watch and read about all the terrible things going in the world. Maybe a more informed society is a more depressed society? Check out the rest of the series below:
