A few weeks ago, we showed you the 14-second teaser trailer that had Squarepusher fans’ audio cables all in knots. It was the first look at his new album and LED-based live visual show, which he performed at The Creators Project: San Francisco 2012 last month. In person, the performance is mind-blowing, and much of that madness has translated perfectly to the first full-length music video from his upcoming album, Ufabulum.“Dark Steering” is the track that was originally teased, a half cut-time, half double-time banger that delivers all the melody and aggression Squarepusher promised for this release. The video captures the essence of his current live show, zooming in and out on his LED-laden mask and backdrop as he plays the song. The light show is in full effect, spilling geometric shapes to the rhythm, and becoming an oversaturated mess at just the right moments.We can’t wait for the album to drop in May!
