What an incredible year it’s been for Brazilian rapper Emicida—and now it’s just got even better as he’s been awarded “Artist of the Year” and “Video Clip of the Year” at the MTV VMB (Video Music Brazil) awards.

His Hollywood-plot career has seen him rise from MC battles in the favelas to making his US debut at Coachella this year, along with producing his first official album in collaboration with The Studio—working with producers K-Salaam & Beatnick who helped him record five songs off his nine song EP Doozicabraba e a Revolução Silenciosa.

So, massive congratulations to him for his success at the MTV VMB awards. Well done Emicida!
