Hector Santizo: in 365 days

Stemming from weeks of an insufferable bout of insomnia, Hector Santizo created his ongoing project in 365 days to utilize the time he previously spent staring at the blank ceiling above his head. The restless nights provided Santizo with time to explore and use his iPad as a tool for his creative work. With nearly a quarter of the assigned 365 days completed, Santizo's compilation of daily illustrations have inspired us to make more constructive use of our time. Here we feature his work from day 72, titled "pykrete."

Simon Burrill: We Emptied the Trash, but it’s still in the System

Simon Burrill's film We Emptied the Trash but it's still in the System intends to create a suggestive narrative based on one's decaying memory. By process of continuous recompression and editing, Burril employed a creative method analogous to programming experiments and data-moshing. Influenced by the way he envisioned VHS tapes to deteriorate over generations, Burril's work creates a hazy pixelated atmosphere with obscure digital scenes, strangely relating to one's memory.

admi: Computer Hero

Enter admi's vortex of random chaos in their interactive browser-based music video Computer Hero. Built with HTML5, the collage of characters consists of visual elements grabbed randomly in real-time from the internet. After running through an alternate reality that consists of falling objects, exploding animals, and illogical city structures, the music video/game ends with a colossal landslide of animated objects impossible to comprehend.
