Burning Man, Brazilian Homages to Hip-Hop, and Big Data Roses | Culture Beat Episode 3

We head to the Black Rock Desert in Nevada, campsite home of the legendary Burning Man festival.

We head to the Black Rock Desert in Nevada, campsite home of the legendary Burning Man festival to check out the incredible art structures-turned-vehicles scattered throughout the grounds, from a fire-spouting dragon on wheels to a gigantic metal octopus made from recycled materials. Then, we visit Brazilian artist duo OSGEMEOS at their first official gallery show, Silence of the Music,at Lehmann Maupin. The twins lead us through their colorful hip-hop tribute with built installations and painted canvases. Finally, we check out the Roses at Bell project by artistSarah Meyohas. It is the artist’s largest project to date, dissecting 10,000 rose petals as a commentary on the natural world's transition into data.
