A version of this article originally appeared on The Creators Project Netherlands. Upon seeing this elegant design, I think immediately of table football: I do not know whether the Danish designer Benjamin Nordsmark was also inspired by the ancient pasttime, but his Labyrinth Table is imaginative, for sure. [Editor's Note: Hats off to Twtitter user @korvys for pointing out that it's actually the same design as the hedge maze in The Shining's Overlook Hotel.]Its frame's made of steel, so that it's strong enough to remain intact for generations, and its labyrinth consists of a maze of wooden walls beneath a roof of glass, inside of which six helpless figures are forever trapped. This might give the table a rather gloomy feeling, but fortunately, six magnets beneath the table allow you to move the metal men between its walls, providing just enough of a distraction during a lengthy dinner or a sleepy Sunday morning. To my knowledge, there are no rules associated with the use of the table—you can simply let your imagination run free. I can imagine playing a game in pairs, with one person sitting under the table, moving the dolls, while the other gives directions to get through the maze as fast as possible. I don't know about you, but I'd spend hours with it.Via Arq4designCheck out more must-have table designs below:Projection Mapping Provokes A Dazzling New Future For Table TennisThis High Tech Table Is Straight Out of 'Minority Report'Cardboard Table Furniture Unfolds Like a Pop-Up Book
