<p>You get hybrid audiovisual instrument the Glockentar, of course.</p>
What do you get if you cross a glockenspiel, a guitar, and projection mapping? You get Aaron Sherwood’s Glockentar which fuses these three things together to form a hybrid, futuristic-looking instrument.
The device uses Arduino, openFrameworks, and MadMapper so that every time a string is plucked a bell from the glockenspiel sounds and a ray of light beams across the string highlighting its path.
The result is an audiovisual instrument that, paired with a laser harp, gives you every reason to get the old band back together for one last gig.
