Creator, electronic engineer, and founder of Brazilian design and technology studio SuperUber, Russ Rive discusses OctoCloud, an interactive, eight-person slingshot installation featured at our San Francisco 2012 event.With an interface as realistic as the night sky, a user participates via smartphone to shoot stars through an ethereal galaxy of celestial bodies and racing comets, or a charged tub of multi-colored electricity. As the visuals change, so does the character of the sculpture, speaking to the ephemeral and capricious design.
