June Miller Somehow Made Delta Heavy Even Heavier

When it comes to upfront bass music, nobody brings the heat like Delta Heavy. Sometime around 2011, they showed up on the dnb scene with pummeling beats with just enough pop sensibility to soothe your bruised ears. The UK duo toned down the edge ever-so-slightly with "Reborn," released a couple weeks ago, but never fear, Ram Records upstarts June Miller took on remix duties and infused the whole thing with so much glitched-out heaviness that the Delta Heavy guys probably had rub themselves down with Bengay after listening to it.

The remix is a total dancefloor crusher oozing with energy and production prowess. It's got a fresh touch but maintains that Ram Records aesthetic. "When the opportunity arose to be able to remix this track, we jumped at the chance," Miller tell THUMP. "We absolutely fell in love with Yadi's vocal when we heard the original for the first time, so we purposely wanted to keep her the center of attention, but also try and complement that with some tearing in-your-face bass action. Hopefully the whole thing reflects the journey we wanted to take people on."
