Spazzkid - "Getting to Know You" (RunFoxRun! Remix)
A lot of dance music sounds like it came from a computer, because a lot of it does—but nowadays we've been hearing more and more tracks that appear to have been born straight from the inner-workings of a Nintendo 64. Some people refer to this growing movement as "video game music" while others just enjoy its creative flavor. Either way, this recent rework of Spazzkid's charming production has us feeling like we're battling the final boss in Zelda.

Foster the People - "Best Friend" (A-Trak & gLAdiator Remix)

Some of the most intriguing remixes that come across our Soundcloud streams are the ones that seamlessly form a bond between two genres, bands, or songs, that are not at all similar. Coming from a background as a hip-hop DJ—A-Trak is no stranger to bridging the gap between a diverse set of sounds, and with his recent remix of Foster the People's "Best Friend" in which he joined forces with buzzy trap duo gLAdiator, it's safe to say he nailed it.

Disclosure - "When a Fire Starts to Burn" (C2C Remix)
"When a Fire Starts to Burn" was easily one of the biggest tracks of 2013, and came along with one of the more bizarre music videos we've ever encountered. It's a track that in many ways is difficult to remix, due to the prevalence of quick cuts, and a complex arrangement  of sounds and vocal bits. If there was one group that could handle the undertaking of reworking this track—it's the French turntable wizards C2C, who just released a free version that will have you counting down the minutes until tonight's party.

Phil Collins - "In the Air Tonight" (Sunsquabi Remix)
With a stellar remix, artists often have the ability to form an auditory bridge between two different eras, plunging listeners into a time machine that will work their dancing feat while also giving them an astute sense of history and enjoyment. Colorado-based electronic outfit—Sunsquabi, recently got their creative hands on a jam that is perfect for summer nights, Phil Collins' classic "In the Air Tonight." Adding a tasty blend of funky guitar links, and some crunchy synth work, the group flips what was once a gentle singalong into a track that's fit for the party.
