Brace Yourself for this Dub Techno Remix from Brendon Moeller as the Echologist

The South African producer plunges Plant Army Revolver's "Diaspora" into deeper levels of dread.

Ever since leaving South Africa in 1993, Brendon Moeller has built his name as one of dub techno's most restless spirits. The prolific producer has laid down his musical legacy under several aliases—most notably, as Beat Pharmacy for Francois K's Deep Space Media and Wave Music, and more recently as Echologist. On Concrete Records' latest limited-edition vinyl release (a mere 300 copies have been pressed), Moeller as Echologist takes his hatchet to Plants Army Revolver's "Diaspora." Moeller's dub techno remix is doused in uncertainty, building over a throbbing, swollen groove and metallic echoes. Sinister ringing bells fade in and out, plunging the ominous techno trak into deeper levels of dread. Listen to the track, along with Plants Army Revolver's "Diaspora" and "Pales Teen" above.
