For Beyoncé's performance at the UN General Assembly for World Humanitarian Day 2012, designers Kenzo Digital and SuperUber combined efforts with animators Dirt Empire to create a visual spectacle that swept the audience of their feet and took them around the world.

Using a partially surrounding screen to show disaster areas where the UN's humanitarian efforts are having a positive impact on people's lives, the team created a backdrop for Beyoncé's performance of the song "I Was Here." Transforming the iconic building into a slew of detailed, immersive landscapes, the performance featured the sites of earthquakes, droughts, and floods, and UN workers helping victims through it all. Beyoncé's emotional performance of the song anchored eyes to her at center stage while the visualizations behind her augmented the story of her song.
